Thea R. Mileo

Thea R. Mileo, age 88, of New Carlisle, Ohio was reunited with her best friend, her husband Joe, and her Lord & Savior on Tuesday, October 7, 2025. She was born on May 3, 1937 in Torquay, England to the late Albert & Kathleen Russell. In addition to her parents and Joe, Thea was preceded in death her brother Lloyd Russell.

She is survived by her children: Stephen C. (Teri) Mileo, Lora (Don) Bogard, Terri Mileo, Tricia (Rob Imbriani) Mileo-Smith, and Jodi (Tony Cottrill) Mileo; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her sister, Donna Campbell; nieces and nephews, and many more relatives and friends.

Mom (Thea) loved her husband, her children and her grandchildren with all her heart. She was a very strong woman - a true Englishwoman through and through - and she wanted to make sure her children were strong, too. Thea was a proud business owner who ran her own used book store, Cover to Cover Paperback - a place filled with stories, laughter, and community. She also enjoyed traveling to and working at many book conventions. She was a Jeopardy Champion at heart, always quick with the right answer, and she loved the challenge of every question. She also had a deep love for animals, especially rescuing cats, giving them the same care and devotion she showed everyone around her. She also always made sure to have cookies on hand for the kids who came over.
