Terry Slone, age 64 of Dayton, passed away Sunday, May 7, 2017 at Hospice of Dayton. He was born October 27, 1952 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Ruey Slone and Joyce Whitescarver.
Terry served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He retired from Hyland Machine Company after 30 years. He had a big sense of humor and enjoyed working in the garage, fishing and hunting. His kids and family were his life and he will be greatly missed by them.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Wendell Slone.
Terry will be missed by his loving children, Jeremy (Deanna) Slone, Christopher (Megan) Slone and Jodi (Daniel Hill) Slone; grandchildren, Bradley, Mackenzie, Chase, CJ and Payton Slone; brother, Rodney (Ruth) Slone; sister, Debbie Slone and nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends from 9 AM until 10 AM on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd. where a memorial service will begin at 10 AM. Inurnment with military honors will be held immediately following the service at Dayton National Cemetery.
