Terry L. Sturgeon

Terry L. Sturgeon, age 74 of Xenia, Ohio passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on March 31, 2021. He was born September 1, 1946 in Xenia, Ohio son of the late Asa and Hazel Sturgeon.

Terry was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He was a United States Navy Veteran who proudly served his country. Terry loved to travel, spend time with his family, and take long drives in the country.

In addition to his parents, Terry was preceded in death by his daughter, Kimberly Dell; sister, Lavonne Bennett; and brother, Francis "Tom" Sturgeon.

Terry is survived by his wife of 46 years, Linda Sturgeon; children, Dianna (Louis) Alliod, Allen (Alyssa) Sturgeon, and Holli (Chad) Hammonds; son-in-law, Mike Dell; grandchildren, Amanda Craig, Aaron Veatch, Emily Warren, Brent Miller, Jonah Warren, Tristen Sturgeon, Dylan Porter, Samantha Porter, Ethan Hammonds, and Aidan Sturgeon; great grandchildren, Elizabeth Craig, Izabelle Craig, Alice Veatch, Lydia Veatch, A'mylah Miller and Evelyn Veatch; sister, Donna "Jean" Irvine; brother, Paul Sturgeon; as well as numerous other family members and friends.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 8, 2021 from 5-6pm at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton-Xenia Road, Beavercreek, Ohio 45432). A memorial service will begin at 6pm at the Funeral Home.

Terry will be laid to rest at Dayton National Cemetery on Monday, July 26, 2021 at 2:30pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Terry's honor to Hospice of Dayton.
