Terrence Shanahan

Terrence Patrick Shanahan "Terry", age 77 of New Carlisle, Ohio, passed away Thursday, November 12, 2020. He was born October 13, 1943 in Springfield, Ohio to the late John and Ruth Shanahan.

In addition to his parents, Terry was preceded in death by his brothers, John F. Shanahan and Robert J. Shanahan.

Terry was survived by his wife of 53 years, Debbie; children, Tina Mizin, Terrence "Mike" (Naomi) Shanahan and Heather (Kevin) Seeley; grandchildren, Brett Shanahan, Megan Mizin, John Palulis, Ryan Shanahan, David (Sara) Seeley, Megan (Rob) Gump, and Michael Seeley; great grandsons, Caleb Adams, Jaxon Shanahan, A.J. Gump, Nathaniel Gump, and Brody Palulis; siblings, Ruth Ann Kudlaskus, Margaret (Roger) Weeks, Kathleen (Jim) Leonard, and Patricia Parker; many nieces and nephews.

Terry retired from food services at Wright State University and was a member of Independent Gospel Fellowship. He enjoyed camping, fishing, attending gospel concerts, watching TV and the Bengals. He will be remembered for his good sense of humor and will be dearly missed by his loving family.

Family will receive friends Monday, November 23, 2020 from 12 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1 p.m. Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, Pastor Kevin Seeley, officiating. Burial New Carlisle Cemetery. The state of Ohio is under a mandatory mask order and has required that face masks be worn in all public buildings.
