Terrance "Terry" Harden, born on August 20, 1943, in London, England, departed this life on June 18, 2025, in Dayton, Ohio. Terry was a beloved figure whose presence brought warmth and kindness to everyone he met.
Terry dedicated a significant portion of his life to his career at General Motors, where he worked diligently until his retirement. He took pride in his work and the friendships he formed along the way, leaving a lasting legacy within the company and the community.
An avid sports enthusiast, Terry enjoyed a variety of hobbies that included fishing, golfing, and bowling. He was a passionate fan of the Cincinnati Bengals and never missed an opportunity to show his support for Ohio State football. His love for basketball also reflected his spirited personality, making him a lively companion during game nights with family and friends.
He leaves behind a loving family, including his son, Chris (Gail) Harden, and grandchildren Nick (Brittany) Harden, Christina (Doug) Roebuck, Joseph (Jessica) Willis, Thomas Willis, Robert Willis and Alex (Brandie) Willis. Terry also cherished his great-grandchildren, Jason, Bella, Olivia Mason, Evelyn, Zoey, Lincoln, Landon, Aaron and Adline, who brought joy and happiness to his life. He is survived by his son-in-law, Joe Willis, and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.
Terry was preceded in death by his cherished wife of 43 years, Helen Harden, and his parents, Delmar and Vera Harden. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Barbara Willis, and his son, Dennis Harden.
Terry's love for his family was evident in everything he did, and his memory will be forever cherished by all who were fortunate enough to know him. His legacy will continue to live on through the stories, laughter, and values he instilled within his family.
Family will receive guests from 4-8 pm on Wednesday, June 25, 2025 at Newcomer Funeral Home, Kettering Chapel (3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering, OH 45439). A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 am on Thursday, June 26th at Holy Trinity Catholic Church (272 Bainbridge St., Dayton, OH 45402) with Fr. Seraphine Lesirion, Celebrant. Interment will follow Mass at Calvary Cemetery, Dayton.
