Terrance "Tay" Lamont Manning

Terrance Lamont Manning, 48 of Columbus, Ohio unexpectedly passed away on August 4, 2026, at his home. He was born on April 2, 1978, in Dayton, Ohio to Edward Manning and Vicki Van Meter.

He is preceded in death by his Mother Vicki L. Van Meter, Grandparents Georgia & Enoch Manning; Willie Garrison, and Uncle Micheal Van Meter,

Terrance is survived by his grandmother Barbara Garrison, Father Edward Manning Sr., Sisters: Nicole Van Meter and LaDawn Manning, Brothers: Edward Manning Jr. and Micheal “Mo” Van Meter (Chantelle) Aunts: Pamela Correll (Latisha and Mark), Dee Yvonne Van Meter, and Lorene Manning (Candice). His Nieces and nephews: DeAsia, Allante Sr., Danyell, Alexis, Tyger, Monae, Danesha, Davonte, Darius, Markus, Madison, Ronald and Ryan.; His great-nieces and nephews: Dawson, Da’Yona, Dariah, Kendall, Allante Jr., Evionne, Allanah, Kannon, A’siah, Omarri, Domani, Dame, A’Hmillya and Jaxx; and Lifelong friend Adrian Harris. He is also survived by numerous family and friend(s).

He was a beloved Son, Brother, Uncle, Nephew, Cousin and mostly a Great Friend too so many. Terrance attended Dunbar High School. He was employed at Ohio Thrift Store for over 14 years with those he considered as his work family. Terrance has touched so many lives as a protector and being a supportive friend. He will also be remembered for his humbleness and generosity. Terrance always showed up with a quick smart remark and always ready for a spades game. The love he poured into his nieces and nephews is unmatched. There will never be another like him. He will truly be missed... Now, his unconditional bond with his mother will forever last.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2026 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - North Chapel (4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, Ohio 45424).
