Teresa B. Schidecker

With heavy hearts, we mourn the passing of Teresa B. Schidecker, who left this world on July 21, 2026, at the age of 63. Born on May 6, 1963, Teresa was a beacon of warmth, joy, and unwavering strength to all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Teresa’s journey through life was marked by a spirit that was truly free. Those close to her knew her as wild and funny, always ready with a joke or a smile that could light up a room. Her happiness was unmistakable—radiating peace and acceptance wherever she went. Teresa was the kind of person who embraced everyone as they were, making her presence a sanctuary for those who needed comfort, laughter, or simply a willing ear.

A cherished daughter of Joseph Schidecker and the late Phyllis, Teresa brought deep pride and joy to her family. Her boundless love as a mother was evident in the lives of her children. She is survived by her sons, Marcus and Lucas, and her daughter, Stevie Rae, her 10 grandchildren and her siblings. Teresa carried in her heart the memory of her beloved son Matthew and her dear daughter Cecillia, who passed before her.

The family Teresa built was, without question, her proudest accomplishment; she was the bond that held everyone together. No matter the challenges that life placed in her path, Teresa’s love and dedication created a foundation upon which her family could always rely.

In addition to her remarkable devotion to her loved ones, Teresa was enormously proud of her career with The Marriott, where she gave over 20 years of her life. Her work ethic, kindness, and ability to build lasting connections with colleagues and guests alike were matched only by the relationships she nurtured at home.

Teresa’s spirit, laughter, and love leave an enduring legacy. She reminds us each day of the strength found in acceptance, the courage of living joyfully, and the immeasurable power of a mother’s love.

As we say goodbye, we take comfort in the peace she brought to so many. Teresa’s light will live on in the memories of her family and all who were lucky enough to walk beside her in life.
