Teresa Lynn Jergens, age 63 of West Milton, Ohio, passed away Saturday, November 7, 2020 at Miami Valley Hospital. She was the youngest of eight children, born April 25, 1957 in Fleming, Kentucky to the late Tommy and Opal Burrows.
Teresa was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. Being very family orientated, she cherished all the time she could spend with her family including Sunday breakfasts and countless good times throughout the years. She was everyone's granny.
Teresa was a five foot tall ball of fire who's laughter was bigger and louder than she was. She loved to tease, was very active, a voracious reader and an avid UK fan. She grew up Baptist and was a servant at heart, working as a coordinator at a nursing home for many years in addition to being a caregiver to her family and others. She will be dearly missed by her family and all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, Teresa was preceded in death by her sister, Thelma Newsome; brothers-in-law, Tommy Turner and Earl Cook; and nephew, Todd Bentley
Teresa will be missed by her loving daughter, Heather Hughes (Keith Roach); grandchildren, Kayla (Zachary) Schoener and Courtney (Zachary) Evans and Jakob Hughes; great grandchildren, Luke Evans and Cole Evans; brothers and sisters, Glenda Turner, Tommy (Gloria) Burrows, Gracie (Freddy) Bentley, Owen Burrows, Larry (Patty) Burrows, and Brenda Cook; many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews; and many friends.
Family will receive friends Sunday, November 15, 2020 from 2 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 3 p.m. at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton. The State of Ohio is under a mandatory mask order and has required that face mask will be worn in all public places.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Teresa's memory to Heather Hughes for construction of a memorial bench.
