Tammy J. Turgeon

Tammy Joy Turgeon, age 60 of New Carlisle, Ohio passed away unexpectedly on June 30, 2026. She was born January 27, 1966 in Presque Isle, Maine. The daughter of the late Elmer and Carolyn (Cook) Whittaker.

Tammy was a loving and devoted wife, sister, aunt, and friend. She graduated with her bachelors degree in Elementary Education from the University of Maine. She later taught at Apostolic Christian Academy as a Teacher for all grades for over 20 years. In addition to teaching, she worked as a telemarketer for the National Bank. Tammy was a faithful member of the Apostolic Lighthouse Church for many years with her husband John. She enjoyed adult coloring, reading up on history, and spending time with her family. Tammy will be greatly missed by all who had the honor of knowing her.

In addition to her parents, Tammy "Repeat" was preceded in death by her sister, Rose "Peat" Whittaker.

She is survived by her husband of 26 years, John Turgeon; siblings, Elmer Whittaker Jr., John David (Kim) Whittaker, and Mary Roshell; a host of nieces and nephews; faith leaders, Bradley and David Smith; as well as numerous other family members and friends.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 7, 2026 from 11am to 12 noon at Apostolic Lighthouse Church, 2221 Harshman Road, Dayton, Ohio 45424. A funeral service will begin at 12 noon with Pastor Bradley Smith officiating. Burial will follow at New Carlisle Cemetery.
