Sylvia Mae Dessecker (Sparrow), age 89 of Dayton (formerly of Bellbrook), passed away Saturday, April 16, 2016 at Miami Valley Hospital.
She was born October 9, 1926 in Springfield, Ohio.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Edward Dessecker; parents, Ralph L. and Minnie Belle Sparrow; sister, Janie Outram; and three brothers, Elwood, Milton, and Lowell Sparrow.
Sylvia is survived by her three daughters, Sharon L., Cynthia (Edward Winans III), and Carolyn Dessecker; two sons, Thomas (Lhyne Pariente) and Charles Dessecker; grandchild, Amanda (Christopher Fox) Hatton; and two special children who will always hold a special place in her heart. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Sylvia was instrumental in running the family business as well as having her hands full at home. She was a talented musician who will be remembered for her patience, gentleness, compassion, and love of animals, particularly her dog, Buddy, and cat, Pretty-girl. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Dayton Fire Department, Miami Valley Emergency Room Staff, and Crossroads Hospice for their exceptional care.
A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00pm on Wednesday, April 20th at New Burlington Cemetery.
