Susie Anne Olds was born on January 16, 1954, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to parents, Richard Alfonso and Willie Mae Olds where she grew up in the Oakland section of the city. Susie went home to be with the Lord on January 10, 2026.
Susie was an avid reader known for her thirst for knowledge, which she instilled in her children. She kept abreast of social and political issues and people often commented they enjoyed speaking with her on many topics. Susie was also known for her kindness and gentle spirit. She loved to crochet and gift her handcrafted blankets to those she cherished. She liked writing poetry and she was a song bird, who even sang the night of her passing.
All who truly knew Susie loved and will miss her. Susie was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Richard, Harvey, Howard, and John. She is survived by her children, Jala (Kevin), Dana, Damion, and Jamal; her grandchildren Jaylen, Damion and Amari; her sister Juanita and brothers Fred and Frank; and a host of nieces and nephews.

A private inurnment will be held at Allegheny Cemetery in Pittsburgh.
