Sue Elaine Hercutt

Sue Elaine (Dearth) Hercutt, 77, of New Lebanon, Ohio, passed away at home on April 29, 2024. Sue was born in Dayton, Ohio on July 19, 1946, to Everett and Doris (Roof) Dearth.

She is survived by her daughter, Deanna K. (Hercutt) Seitner, son in law, Douglas R. Seitner, grandchildren, Danielle & Dylan Seitner, brother Ken Dearth, sister in laws, Diana Dearth, Tanya (Hercutt) Jaros, Tammie (Hercutt) Downing, stepsons, Martin & Sean Hercutt, step grandson Roger, numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family, and loving friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Everett and Doris (Roof) Dearth, brother, Dennis Dearth, and ex-husband, Terry Hercutt.

Sue loved animals. She lived on a farm raising Quarter Horses and Norwegian Elkhounds for most of her adult life. She spent countless hours volunteering for the Ohio State Extension 4-H Program as an advisor and office assistant.

The family requests those wishing to make contributions in Sue's memory do so to the Preble County 4-H Program or Hospice of Dayton.

Services will be held on May 3, 2024, at Newcomer Funeral Home in Beavercreek, Ohio. Visitation will be held from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm with the funeral service at 1:00 pm.
