Steven K. Roesser, age 80, of Dayton, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, June 28, 2026.

Born on January 26, 1946, in Columbus, Ohio, Steven Graduated from Bellbrook High School and later attended Wright Sate University to become a Meteorologist. He grew up with a deep curiosity about the world and a lifelong love of learning. That inquisitive spirit stayed with him throughout his life, shaping his interests, his conversations, and the way he connected with others.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Dr. Robert J. Roesser and Janet Roesser; and brother in-law, Ronald Coleman, whom he cherished.

Steven is survived by his devoted sister, Joyce Coleman; his nephew, Colin Moore including his longtime companion, Sharon Carr; ex brother-in-law and best friend, Craig Moore. He also leaves behind many other extended family and friends who will remember him with affection.

Music was one of Steven’s greatest passions. He enjoyed Classical, Blues, Rock, and Jazz music. He studied music deeply and spoke about it enthusiasm. Beyond music, he was an avid reader of non-fiction books and became a professional writer selling short stories. Steven found joy in trolleys and traveling, always eager to explore new places and experiences. He was an avid Cleveland Browns, Cincinnati Reds, and Ohio State fan. His favorite ball payer was Frank Robinson. Steven also loved wrestling, especially nature boy Buddy Rogers whose performances he admired.

In recognition of his service, Military Honors will be rendered at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 13, 2026, at Dayton National Cemetery, where he will be laid to rest with dignity and gratitude.
