Steven B. Michaels, known lovingly as Steve, passed away on August 17, 2026. Born on September 25, 1965, Steve was a devoted family man whose roots were firmly planted in Centerville, Ohio. From the start, he embodied the values of dedication and loyalty that would define his life and legacy.

Steve’s story is one of commitment, both to his family and to his work. At just 18 years old, he married the love of his life, Carmen. Their partnership was the foundation on which they built a family, raising two sons, Zach and Vincent, together with deep love and unwavering support.

Family was at the heart of everything Steve did. He was a dedicated father and grandfather, always present and ready to lend a dependable hand. Steve’s loyalty to his family was evident in the way he cherished time spent with loved ones. Whether at home or during family outings, his greatest joy came from being surrounded by those he loved most.

Professionally, Steve worked in various manufacturing places across Dayton. His strong work ethic and sense of responsibility earned the respect of his colleagues and the appreciation of those who depended on him. He approached every day with the same steadfast dependability that characterized his personal life.

Outside of work, Steve found joy in simple pleasures and shared experiences. He enjoyed fishing, especially trips to Norris Lake, where so many cherished memories were created. Car shows were another favorite pastime, as he took delight in the craft and camaraderie found among enthusiasts. But above all, Steve treasured time spent with family—gatherings, celebrations, and quiet moments alike.

Steve is survived by his beloved wife Carmen Michaels; his sons, Zach Michaels (and wife Jessica) and Vince Michaels (and wife Lisa); his mother Mary Michaels; his brother Blake Michaels (and wife Cindi); his sister Denise Michaels; his grandchildren: Audrey Blankenship, Emily Blankenship, Cameron Michaels, Kaden Blankenship, Weyland Michaels, and Wyatt Michaels. The love he showed and the guidance he provided will live on through them.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jack Michaels; his brother, Alan Michaels; and his grandson, Joseph Michaels. Their memories were always close to Steve’s heart.

A man of steadfast character, reliability, and devotion, Steven B. Michaels leaves behind a legacy of family, hard work, and kindness. Those who knew him will remember his strength of spirit, his loyalty, and his enduring love for the people in his life. Steve’s memory will long be cherished by all who were fortunate enough to know him.

A visitation will be held from 5:00pm to 7:00pm with a service starting at 7:00pm on Saturday, August 22, 2026. Steve will be laid to rest at David's Cemetery on Monday, August 24, 2026 at 11:00am.
