Steven R. Isaac

Steven Ray Isaac, lovingly known as Steve, passed away on August 28, 2026, in Dayton, Ohio, as the result of a tragic accident. He was born on December 30, 1985, in Kettering, Ohio. His passing leaves a deep sorrow in the hearts of all who knew him, while his life remains a beautiful reminder of love, laughter, and devotion to his family.

Steve will be remembered as a hardworking man who built his life around the people he loved most. He was self-employed in construction, with his own business and was deeply dedicated to his work. This same dedication shaped every part of his life. He absolutely loved his family, and his greatest pride was found in his wife and children. He was especially excited about becoming a “Pee Paw” to his grandson, a joy that reflected how deeply family meant to him.

Above all else, Steve absolutely loved his family. Time with his wife and kids was what he treasured most, whether that meant taking family vacations, going camping, or simply being together at home. He grew an obsession with golfing, and enjoyed gaming with his best friend and brother-in-law, “Overwatch”. He was a man who brought joy into ordinary moments with his beautiful smile, and his gift for making everyone laugh with his stupid jokes. He was known for often singing along with the wrong lyrics in a way that made those around him laugh even more.

Those who knew Steve knew the center of his world was his home and family. He is survived by his wife, Danielle, known as Dani, who he shared 23 years together and 8 years of marriage, and their children: Emma, Elliana, Myla, and Kayden. He is also survived by his beloved dog, Daisy Mae. He leaves behind his father, Steve (Carla) Isaac; his mother, Kim (Mike) Dillow; his sisters, Erica (Jeremy) Audia, and Samantha (Randy) Graham; his mother-in-law, Carol Whitehead; his brother-in-law, Brian Whitehead; his sister-in-law, Samantha (David) Whitehead, and his favorite aunt, Caroline “Aunt C” McCulley; several nieces and nephews that he loved, as well as other family members and friends who knew his humor, his devotion, and the steady love he gave so freely.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Wetzel (Eleanor) Isaac, Melvin (Mary) Martin, George (Geraldine) Derr, and Jerry (Saundra) Whitehead. He was also preceded in death by his father-in-law, David Whitehead; his step-brother, Bryan Misner; and his cousins, Addison and Mason Sanders.

Steve’s life was filled with love, laughter, and devotion to his wife and children who mattered most to him. His memory will live through his wife, children, family and friends who loved him most. 

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. on Friday, September 4, 2026 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd. Service will begin at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
