Steve Thorpe

Steven L. Thorpe, age 73 of Beavercreek, passed away Wednesday, September 30, 2026 at Beavercreek Health & Rehab. He was born February 5, 1953 in Dayton, Ohio the son of Gerald and Geraldine Thorpe.

A proud graduate of Fairmont East High School and a retiree of General Motors, Steve's heart was as big as his love for the Bengals and UD Flyers. Whether engaged in a game of cards or chess, he brought joy and laughter to those around him. His culinary skills were legendary, as he delighted in cooking for friends, always with an open door and a welcoming spirit. Remembered as intelligent, loving, and caring, Steve's rare and beautiful soul touched all who knew him. A cherished friend, he leaves an indelible mark on our hearts.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his step-mother, Ella Mae Thorpe.

Steve is survived by his daughter/goddaughter, Krystle "Piggy" Billings; friends, Barbara Weber, Dick & Dianne Fretch and Amber Bishop; brother, Ronald (Peggy) Thorpe; step-sister, Cheryl (David) Ernst; and her daughter, Teresa (Tim) Trofitt; step-brother, Larry (Melinda) Ping; and his son, Jimmy (Tina) Ping; and many other nieces, nephews and cousins; as well as his beloved fur baby, Charlie.
