Steve Barnhart Sr., a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on December 3, 2025, in his hometown of Trotwood, Ohio, at the age of 64. Born on June 1, 1961, Steve left an indelible mark on the lives of those who knew him, characterized by his funny, outgoing, and loving personality.

Steve dedicated many years of his career as a packer at Norgren, where his work ethic and camaraderie with colleagues were greatly respected. A graduate of Trotwood High School, Class of 1980, his spirit of determination and joy carried through every phase of his life.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Steve was an avid racing enthusiast. He was a proud compact driver #87, which he raced at Kil Kare and Shady Bowl. His love for motorsports extended to hobbies that included collecting model cars and Hot Wheels, showcasing his passion for the thrill of racing.

Steve's family was his greatest pride and joy. He is survived by his father, Dickie Barnhart; brothers, David (Nikki) Barnhart and Glenn (Chris) Barnhart; sister, Sherry Barnhart; daughter, Brandi (Dustin) Thacker; beloved son, Steven (Dina) Barnhart Jr.; and grandchildren, Brooke, Dustin, Liberty, Emma, Isabella, Mason, Brittany, and Jack; niece; Julie (Saul) Herzog; nephews; Josh (Lyndsey) Roberts, Joe (Ciara) Barnhart, Coleton Oaks, Kelton Oaks. Each of them experienced his unwavering love and devotion.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Janet Barnhart; sister, Wanda Roberts; nephew, Brian Roberts; and granddaughter, Kaizy Thacker, all of whom he cherished dearly.

Steve’s legacy of love and laughter will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. He will be remembered not only for his passions but also for the profound impact he made in the lives of everyone he touched.
