Sterling Miller Perrin

June 14, 1926 — December 27, 2020

Sterling Miller Perrin, age 94 of Beavercreek, passed away peacefully Sunday, December 27, 2020 at his home. He was born June 14, 1926 in Houston, Texas, the son of Sterling and Annie Perrin.

Sterling proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy during WWII and Korea. Sterling saw combat in two of the greatest Naval battles in our country's history: the battle of the Philippines in 1944 and the battle of Okinawa in July of 1945. After WWII, Sterling served proudly in the Korean War from 1950 to 1954. Following his discharge, Sterling and his wife returned to Georgetown, Texas where he learned the surveying trade from his Uncle Sidney. Surveying and Civil Engineering would become his life's work after his military service. He spent the next 5 years in Georgetown mastering his trade under the guidance of Uncle Sidney, before moving to Dallas to work in building construction. In 1961 he was hired by J.W Bateson Co. Inc. as a surveyor. He spent the next 27 years working on construction sites around the country, eventually reaching the title of Job Superintendent. He retired as a Job Superintendent in 1987.

Sterling is survived by his Sons, Glen Sterling Perrin & Michael Edward (Pamela K.) Perrin; 5 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren; and one brother, William Patrick (JoAnn) Perrin of Greer, South Carolina.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Beverly Marie Perrin; his parents; and one brother, Charles Robert Perrin.

Sterling will be laid to rest next to his wife at Dayton National Cemetery.
