Stephen John Kendrick

January 5, 1948 — March 17, 2024

Stephen John Kendrick, or "Steve," to his family and loved ones, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 17, 2024.

An only child, born January 5, 1948, to Jack and Olga Kendrick, Steve spent the first half of his life in Birmingham, England. At 16 years of age, he met his future wife, Christine Marsh. During the course of their 52 year marriage, they had two children, Emma in 1981, and Ryan in 1986. In 1984, Steve moved his family to start a life in the United States, and enjoyed the majority of those years in Springboro, Ohio.

Prior to falling ill, Steve enjoyed a long career in the automotive industry, working in sales, and using his background training as a mechanical engineer. When not working, Steve enjoyed keeping a very tidy home, he could fix anything, and rarely sat down to relax. On weekends, when Emma and Ryan were growing up, he would attend his children's soccer games, no matter the distance, making sure to never miss a game. Win or lose, rain or shine, he would be on the sidelines, always cheering them on. When he did find a moment to slow down, he could often be found at home, cuddled up to one of his beloved cats. His happiest times over the years involved spending time with his family at Norris Lake, in Tennessee. In his younger years Steve was an avid water-skier and went on to teach both of his children to not only love the water, but watersports, in general.

Steve is survived by his wife, Christine, and children, Emma and Ryan. He also leaves behind a daughter-in-law, Shannon, wife to Emma, and their children, Rhys and Charlotte. Steve will be remembered as a wonderful husband, father, and grandad to his remaining family members. While he will be missed, his memory will live on in those that were fortunate enough to know him. Cheers to you, Steve, thank you for giving your loved ones many memories to be thankful for.
