It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Stephan “Steve” “Stevo” Patrick Mosher, who left this world far too soon on August 1, 2025, at the age of 50. A devoted husband, father, brother, son, and friend, Steve’s legacy lives on in the love he gave and the lives he touched.
Steve was the beloved husband of Jennifer Schaaf Mosher and the proud, deeply loving father of William Odin (15) and Evelyn Geane (12). He was the heart of his home-steadfast, selfless, and always present. His family was his greatest joy and the center of everything he did. From cheering on William at games to sharing quiet moments with Evelyn or late-night laughs with Jennifer, he treasured every minute with the people he loved most.
A lifelong fan of Ohio State and college football, Steve’s Saturdays were sacred during football season-his passion was unmatched, his loyalty never wavered. He found joy and peace outdoors, whether he was casting a line on a quiet lake, racing snowmobiles or dirt bikes, sporting clay shooting with his son, hog hunting with his family, or exploring new places on family vacations. His spirit was adventurous, his laugh contagious, and his love for life truly inspiring.
Steve had a way of making everyone feel welcome, seen, and valued. His kindness, humor, and unwavering dependability made him the kind of person people counted on-and the kind of man his children will always be proud to call Dad.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Julie Mosher, his father-in-law, William Schaaf, his grandparents Mary & Sigmund Anderson and Francis & Helen Mosher, and his uncle John Wagner.
He leaves behind countless memories that will be cherished forever by his wife Jennifer, his son William, his daughter Evelyn, his father, Tim Mosher (DeeDee), his step-brother, Dallas Johnson, his step-sister, Kayleigh Toomey (Mark), his brother, Jeff Mosher (Melanie), his sister, Dawn Mosher, his half-brother, Tim Mosher, his cousins, David Ryan and Justin Mosher, his mother-in-law, Phyllis Farrell (Pat), his sister-in-law, Bekah Hager (Josh), nieces & nephews, Riley, John, Grace, Beckham, Cohen, Sullivan, and Millie, and numerous other family and friends who had the privilege of knowing him. Though our hearts are heavy, we are comforted by the love he gave and the strength he showed every day.
A celebration of Steve’s life will be held at a later date. Please check back for more information.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made in Steve’s memory to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
Steve, you were everything to us. You will be missed beyond words, remembered with every sunset, and loved for all time.
