Stanley G. Lane

Stanley G. Lane, age 92 of Springboro, passed away Sunday, January 14, 2024. He was born May 28, 1931 in Lynn, Massachusetts the son of the late Andrew and Bertha Lane. Stanley served his Country in the Untied States Air Force. He worked for the civil service at Wright Patterson Air Force base for 34 years. Stanley was a volunteer for Hospice of Georgia and the Senior Center of Heard County. He was a long time member of the Franklin Baptist Church in Franklin, GA, where he was a member of the Choir and served as a Deacon. He loved to help people and never met a stranger. In his younger years, Stanley enjoyed bowling and was part of several leagues in the Dayton area. He was a sports fan and followed the Boston Red Sox, the Boston Celtics, and the New England Patriots. He will be missed by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his Parents; Sisters, Dorothy Lane, Marion Plourde, Joyce Burke, Clara Hersey, Carole Nichols; Brother, Donald Lane; and great-grandson, Ryle Steckling.

Stanley is survived by his wife Rosanna Lane; Son, Richard (Kristy) Lane; Daughter, Linda (Kent) Chadrick; Grandchildren, Micah Chadrick, Nathan (Celeste) Lane, Benjamin (Stephannie) Chadrick, Lauren (Casey) Steckling; Great-grandchildren, Piper Steckling, Phoebe Lane, Kohen Chadrick, Stone Steckling, Kynlee Chadrick, Penny Lane, Liberty Steckling; and by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to DayCity Hospice.

Funeral Service will be held January 20, 2024 at 1:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home - Centerville (820 Miamisburg-Centerville Rd., Dayton, Ohio 45459). Visitation will be from 12:00 pm until the time of the service at 1:00 PM.
