Stanley Lee "Stan" Kroner, age 86, of Jamestown, passed away on October 11, 2026. Born in Loveland, Ohio, on December 19, 1939, he was the son of the late Ida Shaffer.

Stan proudly served as a Veteran of the United States Army. He was a former Sergeant with the Greene County Sheriff's Office and later worked as a General Manager at Phillips Ready Mix. His dedication extended to his involvement with the Greene County Republican Party.

In Ft. Myers, Florida, Stan and his beloved wife Charlotte enjoyed many happy years at Poinsettia Park. Known affectionately as "the life of the park," Stan made numerous friends and even took on the role of bartender for his neighbors.

Passionate about his hobbies, Stan spent time piddling in his garage and yard, enjoying motorcycle rides, and caring for dogs. His love for dogs was evident as he was always caring for strays and was attentive to the neighborhood dogs, making sure to have their favorite treats on hand.

Stan will be remembered for his honesty, selflessness, humor, and love for Looney Tunes cartoons. A devoted and caring family man, his wife and his kids were his number one priorities. He adored and doted on his wife Charlotte, and although stubborn at times, he was a true gentleman. Stan was a giving soul who took care of his family and those he loved, making sure they never went without what they needed.

Stan was preceded in death by his mother, Ida; his beloved wife of 54 years, Charlotte; his son, Daniel Kroner; his siblings, Betty Nichols, Joyce Hughes, Herbert "Butch" Shaffer and Charles "Chuck" Shaffer; and his father-in-law & mother-in-law, Ray and Ada Klontz.

He is survived by his daughter, Pam (Steve) Smith; his son, Kurt Kroner; grandchildren, Dustin Smith, Amber (Jason) Hammond and Kyle (Shelby) Kroner; great grandchildren, Kaylie, Leah and Emily Hammond; siblings, Sylvia Johnson and Rick Shaffer; brother-in-law, Mike Klontz; special nieces, Sandy (Doug) Carpenter and Jennifer Klontz; and many other loving nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Per Stan's wishes, private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family.
