Shirley M. Wood

Shirley M. Wood, age 77 of West Carrollton, passed away Sunday, August 16, 2020 at home. She was born July 22, 1943 in Jefferson City, Missouri to the late Orville and Emma Arahood. She is preceded in death by her sisters, Betty Layne and Cathrine Hagen.

Shirley is survived by her two sons, Frank (Paula) Wood Jr. and John (Jennifer) Wood; six granddaughters, Christina (Denny) Finster, Hannah (Jacob) Groah, Suzanna Wood, Samantha Wood, Cassandra Wilson and Brianna Millett-Gurtler; three grandsons, Frank (Jennifer) Wood III, Jonathan Wood and Eric (Melanie) Wood; eight great-grandchildren, Jordan, Preston, Josalyn, Issabella, Skyla, Lilyonna, Violet, and Lemi; two brothers, Paul (Janice) Arahood and Ronald Arahood; sister, Dianna Davis and special friend, Linda Faruy. She is also survived by numerous family and friends.

Shirley was a great wife, mother, grandmother, and good friend to everyone she met. She truly devoted her life to her family and will be missed dearly.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, August 24, 2020 at Newcomer Funeral Home- Kettering Chapel. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am - 11:00 am. Floral arrangements and contributions may be sent to Newcomer Funeral Home.
