Shirley R. Hoel, age 56 of Dayton, passed away Friday, October 17, 2014. She was born October 31, 1957 in Dayton to her mother, Yvonne (Smith) Vaughn and late father, Charlie C. Vaughn.
She is survived by her husband, Dan Hoel; children, Deborah Doolin, Scott Wallen and Jaime (Rick) Hall; step-children, Robert Daniel Hoel, Jamey Hoel, Andrew Hoel and Dustin Hoel; grandchildren, Caleb Doolin, Tristin Hall, Cheyenne Wallen, Noah Hall, Jordyn Wallen, Syndey Wallen and Gabrielle Wallen; brothers, Gary Vaughn, Barry Vaughn and Jason Vaughn; sisters, Donna Karmosay and Cindy Bridges; numerous step-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Shirley enjoyed crossword puzzles and word games. She was an avid listener of 50's & 60's rock music and could name any song and artist from that era.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to help offset funeral expenses.
