Shirley A. Owens

Shirley Owens, 63, gained her wings on October 4, 2018. She peacefully joined her beloved husband of 47 years, Richard C. Owens, Jr., who was waiting with open arms in Heaven. In addition to her husband, Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Alonzo and Mary Smith; brother, Harry Smith; and sisters: Jean Charlton and Violet Smith.

She leaves behind a dearly loved sister, Sandy Outcalt (Roy); 3 cherished daughters: Catina (Tim) Wood, Lisa (Dave) Bubeck and Samantha Owens; her only son, the treasure of her life, Richard C. Owens, III; 13 beloved grandchildren, which she had a hand in raising: Ashley, Amber, Landon, Tabitha, Mason, Chris, Sarah, Donna, Lesile, Desire, Joshua, Peyten, Cameron and Abigail; her bonus children who stepped up to help in many different ways: Mike Fry, Rachel Flemings and Morgan Pack. Shirley was truly blessed with many other family and friends.
