Shirley Crowe

Shirley Joyce Crowe, age 85 of Xenia, passed away Saturday, June 27, 2026 at Hospice of Dayton. She was born December 22, 1940 in Hazard County, Kentucky the daughter of the late Dennis and Hattie Combs.

Shirley graduated from Fairmont Kettering High School and worked as a Office Manager for several Doctor's offices. She had a heart for caring for others, including raising other family members. She will be remembered for her colorful spirit and never leaving the house without being all dolled up. Shirley was a loving mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and great grandmother to many who will be dearly missed.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Spencer Allen Crowe; second husband, Homer Hayes; 2 sisters and 3 brothers.

Shirley is survived by her four sons, Dennis John (Vicki) Crowe, Donald Allen (Dan) Crowe, Douglas Spencer Crowe and Darren Matthew Crowe; grandchildren, Jodie ( Mark) Crowe Burgman, Katlin (Thomas Boyd) Crowe, Kaleigh (Curtis Owen) Crowe, Dillon Crowe and Heather Miller; great grandchildren, Denver Crowe, Spencer Crowe, Aurora Burgmen, Jayce Crowe and Ashton Boyd; sister, Ailene Walton; brothers, Howard (Aileen) Combs and Mark (Gay) Combs and many other loving family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton in her honor.

Visitation will be Sunday, July 5, 2026 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm with a Funeral Service at 2:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45432).
