Sheila L. Stockstill

Sheila L. Stockstill, age 49, of Riverside went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 18, 2024.

Sheila was born in Dayton on January 31, 1975.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ramona & Edward Cox and Ralph & Dovie Clark.

Sheila is survived by her loving husband of 16 years, Steven Stockstill; daughters, Ashley and Hannah; sons, Braeden and Mason; step-daughters, Cynthia and Dovie; step-sons, Donald and Daniel; mother & step-father, Carolyn Prater & Thomas Downing; father, Michael Cox; 10 grandchildren and two on the way; sister, Letitia Newton; brothers, Joshua Ort and Kyle Downing; several beloved fur babies; and many other relatives and friends.

Sheila was a kind person, however if you made her mad she'd let you know. She was stubborn, but she'd give you the shirt off her back. Sheila loved all music from the New Kids on the Block and Guns & Roses to George Strait. She had an old Ford Escort GT that she affectionately named Fred and refused to get rid of. Sheila had many interests and hobbies over the years from ballet dancing to axe throwing. She enjoyed playing Wheel of Fortune with her dad. Sheila loved her family and she made sure they knew it every day.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 24, from 10-11am at the Newcomer Centerville Chapel 820 Miamisburg-Centerville Rd, Dayton, OH 45459. The service will follow at 11am. Sheila will be laid to rest at Heritage Hills Memory Garden.
