Shawn C. Hicks, age 42 of Dayton, passed away Saturday, August 12, 2017. He was born June 30, 1975 in Dayton, Ohio, the son of Shelby and Sheila Hicks.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Sheila Hicks.
Shawn is survived by his father, Shelby Hicks Sr.; son, Shawn (Kayla) Hicks, II; daughter, Sierra Hicks (B); brother, Shelby (Amy) Hicks Jr.; granddaughters, Scarlett and Laila Hicks; nephews, Dylan (Jessica) Hicks, Darren Hicks; niece, Shelby Grace Hicks; as well as numerous other family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 17, 2017 from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home - North Chapel (4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, Ohio 45424). Funeral service will begin at 1:30 pm. Burial will follow in Willow View Cemetery.
