Sharon K. Spires

Sharon K. Spires, born on September 12, 1951, in Dayton, Ohio, peacefully passed away on August 10, 2025, in Oakwood, Ohio, at the age of 73. Sharon was a beloved member of her community, remembered for her warmth, kindness, and adventurous spirit.

Sharon cherished her time spent traveling to the Smokey Mountains, where she would immerse herself in the beauty of nature. Additionally, long walks with her dogs brought her great joy, allowing her to appreciate the simple pleasures of life and reflect on the world around her.

She is survived by her dear family members, including her nieces Krista Selway and Kali Selway, her nephew Randy Booher and his spouse Heather, as well as her niece Rachel Millet and her spouse Robbie. Sharon also leaves behind her stepdaughters Carla Spires and Sharon Wilson, along with numerous extended family and dear friends who will miss her dearly.

Sharon was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Stanley Spires; her parents, Howard and Juanita Thacker; and her sisters, Karen Selway and Patricia Hardy. They all welcomed her into eternal peace.

A graveside service to honor Sharon’s life will be held at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens in Tipp City, Ohio, on August 15, 2025, commencing at 1:00 PM.

Sharon K. Spires will forever be remembered for her love of adventure, her warm spirit, and the lasting impact she made on those fortunate enough to know her.
