Sharon Lee Silsby, age 79, passed away peacefully July 19, 2019 surrounded by some of her closest friends. She was born August 12, 1939 in Hornell, NY, to Robert and Eleanor. She was the oldest of three girls.
Although, she never married or had children of her own, she remained a constant friend and confident to many people in and out of her church.
She was preceded in death by her father 1994, mother 2006, sister, Tami Lee Keefe (Martin) 2018, and her brother-in-law, Richard Anthony Martin who passed in 1985.
Sharon loved living and being of service. She was very involved with Sulphur Grove United Methodist Church choir and loved singing for her Lord. She had the voice of an angel. She enjoyed volunteering in all committees within her church and being available to those that just needed a friend. She was a very caring and giving human being. You could say that she was a living example of Bible verse, Ephesians 4:32 - "And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ"
Sharon weaved very strong friendships as a member of, Toluca Lake United Methodist Church in North Hollywood, CA., before relocating to Ohio in 2004.
Sharon spent her formidable years roller skating, dancing, traveling and spending time with her family. She worked as a professional secretary, retiring from the Burbank CA Airport in noise control where she was fondly regarded. In her retired years she relocated to Ohio to be near her sisters, so they may experience many memories together: Gym Dates, Red Hat Ladies, Square Dancing, Yard Sale Queens, Lunch Dates, Crafts, Coloring, Making Jewelry, Books Sales and just togetherness. She truly embraced retirement and didn't waste a moment of it, after all she worked hard to get there.
Sharon is survived by her dear sister, Susan Marie Silsby; adored niece, Toy S. Bennett (Martin): her husband, Jack and their three cherished children, Tessa, Jack Jack and Richie; and a loving nephew, Richard A. Martin. All of these she loved and touched deeply.
