Sharon Kaye McClelland

Sharon Kaye McClelland (née Garver), born on June 24, 1940, in Germantown, Ohio, passed away peacefully on August 1, 2026, in Kettering, Ohio. She was 86 years old.

Sharon was the daughter of Arthur and Vivian (Evans) Garver and grew up in Germantown, Ohio where she attended Germantown Schools. A proud member of the Class of 1958, Sharon pursued higher education before marrying Ron Kline and raising her family. Her life was marked by a deep love for her children and an unwavering pride in their accomplishments.

A woman of many talents and passions, Sharon founded her own dance and baton studio shortly after graduating high school. Through this endeavor, she shared her love for the performing arts with countless students, leaving a lasting impact on their lives and her community. She also appeared as a guest singer on WLW-TV’s Paul Dixon Show in the 1960’s. Later in life, she worked at Society Bank, where her customer service demeanor and dedication were appreciated by colleagues and customers alike.

Sharon’s creativity extended into her hobbies, where she expressed a lifelong passion for crafting, sewing, and quilting. These talents brought beauty and joy to those around her. Her enduring love of the performing arts reflected her vibrant spirit throughout her life.

Sharon is survived by, and was immensely proud of, her four sons: Keith Kline (Gail Kist), Kerry Kline (Mindy), Chris Kline (Lisa - fiancée), and Craig Kline (Kelli). Her devotion to them was evident to all who knew her; she would often share stories about "her boys" with anyone willing to listen. Sharon’s pride extended to her eleven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren as well, whose achievements brought her endless joy.

Sharon was predeceased by her parents, Arthur and Vivian Garver; as well as her brother, Robert Garver, and Allen McClelland, her husband. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her.

Sharon spent her final years at Bethany Village in Kettering where she was supported by a myriad of professionals who assisted with her daily care and comfort.

A private celebration of life is planned; family and friends are encouraged to make donations in Sharon’s memory to Ohio Living Bethany Hospice, Attn: Ashley, 6443 Far Hills Avenue, Washington Township, OH 45459.
