Sharon Ann Hornback

Sharon Ann Hornback, age 78, of Dayton, passed away July 18, 2026. She was born February 15, 1948 in Dayton. She was preceded in death by her parents: Dorothy and John Chatterton; husband, Rickey Hornback; and brothers: Gary Campbell and Buddy Chatterton.

Sharon is survived by her daughter, Sheri Amos (Rob); son, Robert Johnson (Regina); grandson, Rob Johnson (Cheyan); great-grandchildren: Braxton Ray and Kelsey Jo; sister, Lorena Napier (Mark); niece, Dawn Napier; nephew, Gary Campbell Jr; special friend, Clarence Dossett; and many other family members and friends.

Sharon retired from Kroger's after 18 years of service. She loved her family - especially her grandchildren. She also had a great love for her cats. Sharon enjoyed planting flowers and family get together's. Feeding people made her very happy. Sharon was the rock of her family; she had a great sense of humor. Sharon was a very kind and giving person; she will be dearly missed.

Visitation will be held from 12:00-1:00 pm on Tuesday, July 28, 2026 at Newcomer Funeral Home, Beavercreek Chapel, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Road, Beavercreek, where the funeral service will begin at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow at Valley View Memorial Gardens.
