Shannon "Peanut" Matney, age 49, of Xenia, passed away Sunday, March 13, 2016 at Greene Memorial Hospital. He was born November 14, 1966 in Dayton, Ohio, the son of Carl and Patricia Matney.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and being outdoors. Shannon will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Shannon is survived by his Son and Daughter-In-Law, Shannon and Kate Matney; Sister, Trish Tingler; Nephew, Robert Tingler; Niece, Kelsey Tingler; Brother-In-Law, Tim Tingler and Great-Nephew, Liam Tingler. He is also survived by numerous family and friends.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home Beavercreek Chapel, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45432. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, March 16, 2016. Burial will follow at Mercer Cemetery in Greene County.
