Shane Nicholas Melzoni

Shane Nicholas Melzoni, age 30, of Miamisburg, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at his home. He was born November 15, 1989 in Kettering, Ohio the son of Larry Melzoni and Becky Ivey.

He was received in Heaven by his papaw, Howard Melzoni; great-grandmother, Oza Melzoni; maternal great-grandparents, Elmer and Lulu Patrick, Cecil and Beula Werner.

Shane is survived by his parents, Larry (Nicole) Melzoni and Becky (Scott) Ivey; sister, Michelle (Julian) Fligor; nephews, Bentley, Abel and Luca Fligor; paternal grandmother, Barbara Melzoni; maternal grandparents, Dwight (Virginia) Werner, Anna (Tom Kensky) Richison and Larry Richison; uncles, Mike Melzoni and Terry Phillips; aunts, Lisa Werner, Debbie (Brion) Hamilton and Jennifer (Mike) Williams; siblings, Amy (Ben) Casteel, Ashley (Jesse) Hellweg, Mikayla Bayer and Andrew Bayer; niece and nephews, Andriana and Lincoln Casteel, Orion Wilson; girlfriend, Erica Denman; along with numerous family and friends; beloved pooch, Kingston.


Shane was a 2008 graduate of Valley View High School in Germantown where he played football and basketball. He enjoyed the outdoors where he would especially love fishing and camping. Shane was very entertaining with a great sense of humor. He enjoyed cooking, eating, music and playing the guitar. Shane was a loving son, brother, grandson, friend and loved being an uncle who adored his niece and nephews.


Visitation will be Monday, September 28, 2020 from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm at Miami Shores Baptist Church c. where the funeral service will follow at 3:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Go Fund Me account established in Shane's memory at gf.me/u/y2hi23 for a tree planting and plaque. Any remaining funds will be donated to The Melzoni Foundation in Shane's memory.
