Scott R. Zimmerman, age 41, of Dayton, Ohio, died peacefully at home on November 23, 2016. He was born September 24, 1975 in Dayton. Scott was a great Son, Most Awesome Brother in the World, nephew, cousin, and friend to all. Scott was a graduate of Carroll High School and Wright State University. He had his own painting business, Zimmerman Custom Painting. He volunteered with the Greenebucs chapter of Ambucs, the Beavercreek Kiwanis and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was known for his kind smile and generosity, was full of ideas and mischief, he loved Ohio State, UDF Chocolate PB milkshakes and watching football with his Grandpa.
Scott was preceded in death by grandparents William "Mick" and Mildred "Midge" Zimmerman; Marjorie "Margie" Ray; great grandparents Mabel and JD Gallagher, Lora and Martha Ray. He is survived by his mother and father, Bob and Sandy Zimmerman of Beavercreek; grandfather, Jimmie Ray; his favorite sister, Amy Zimmerman of Cincinnati; daughter Olivia of North Carolina and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Viewing will be held Thursday, December 1, 2016, from 5-8PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, OH. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, December 2, 2016, at 10AM at St. Luke Catholic Church, 1440 N. Fairfield Rd., Beavercreek, with a reception for all immediately following the service at Kramer Hall. Private burial will be held at a later date.
