Scott Sexton, a dedicated plant manager, loving husband, and passionate outdoorsman, passed away peacefully on February 24, 2026, in Dayton, Ohio. Born on August 25, 1959, in Oneida, Tennessee, Scott lived a life defined by hard work, kindness, and unwavering devotion to those he held dear.
Scott’s journey began in the small town of Oneida, where he developed a love of the outdoors that stayed with him throughout his life. He graduated from Belmont High School in 1976, stepping into adulthood with a friendly spirit and an unmatched work ethic that would come to define his entire career. As a plant manager, Scott was known not only for his leadership skills but also for his dedication to his team and the pride he took in his work.
Yet, Scott’s proudest accomplishment was always his family. He was a wonderful husband to Mary Sexton, who sadly preceded him in death. His deep devotion to his loved ones was evident in everything he did—an affectionate caretaker and a gentle soul. Though Mary, his father Bill, and his brother Michael have left this world before him, Scott's legacy lives on in the hearts of those who survive him.
Scott is lovingly remembered by his mother, Ella (Donald) Sexton; his sister, Pam Williams; his nephews, Shane Williams and Mikey Sexton; and his best friend Glen Hoots. These cherished family members carry forward his spirit, his warmth, and his enduring dedication to family bonds.
Beyond his family and career, Scott found joy and peace in outdoor pursuits. Whether hunting, fishing, or working tirelessly in his yard, he was an avid outdoorsman who celebrated the simple beauty of nature. These moments revealed the quiet strength and steadfast character that those close to him admired so deeply.
As we reflect on Scott’s life, we remember a man who was not only hardworking and friendly but also remarkably devoted—a caretaker in every sense of the word. His presence brought comfort and love, and his absence leaves a profound void. Though he is no longer with us, the memories of his gentle spirit, his passion for life, and his boundless kindness will forever remain a guiding light to all who knew him.
Scott Sexton’s life story is one of dedication, love, and heartfelt connections—a testament to a soul who lived fully and loved deeply. He will be missed beyond words but forever treasured in the hearts of his family and friends.
