Sarah P. McMillan

Sarah P. McMillan, age 72, of Dayton, passed away peacefully on September 3, 2025. Born on November 24, 1952, in Dayton, she carried a friendly, outgoing personality that endeared her to everyone who crossed her path. Her vibrant spirit was often captured in her hippie-at-heart nature, embracing life with open arms and a joyful heart.

Sarah's interests reflected her lively character; she cherished her friendships, forming bonds that lasted a lifetime. She dedicated many hours to playing Bingo, enjoyed watching "The Price is Right," "Wheel of Fortune," and was an avid fan of soap operas. These simple pleasures brought her joy, embodied in her warm laughter and radiant smile.

Throughout her life, Sarah was surrounded by a loving family that will dearly miss her. She is survived by her siblings, Tom (Pat) McKellar, Charles (Yong) McKellar, Patricia (Vernon) Veidt, and John (Heather) Patrick; and brother-in-law, Sherrill Smith. Her legacy continues through her daughter, Rita Harmon, and her five grandchildren, Coreyona Harmon, Jessalyn Harmon, Tristin Harmon, Drake Harmon, and Jacob Harmon, as well as her eleven great-grandchildren. Sarah also had numerous extended family members and friends who cherished her deeply, including her special friend, Robert Thade, and his children, Bill and Melanie.

Sarah was preceded in death by her parents, Rita and Clay Patrick, and Charles E. McKellar. She was also reunited with her siblings Vickie McKellar, Deborah Smith, and Lother McKellar, along with her son, William "Lil Bill" Harmon.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 11, 2025 at 11:00AM at Newcomer Funeral Home, Kettering. Family and friends may visit from 10:00AM until the time of service. Sarah will be laid to rest at Miami Valley Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made out to the American Lung Association in memory of Sarah. 

Sarah will be dearly missed by her loving family and friends.
