Sandra Kaye Tackett

Sandra Kaye Tackett, age 66, of Brookville, passed away on September 23, 2024. She was born on October 10, 1957 to the late James & Marie McBride. 

She graduated from Vandalia Butler High School, class of '75. Her love for the dental industry led her to be an E.F.D.A, and she was very talented at her work. She was a phenomenal cook, and she would feed anyone that came in. She had so many wonderful dishes, there are too many favorites to name. If she wasn't whipping up an amazing meal, Sandra could be found fishing, watching sports, or playing with the grandkids. One of her favorite places was the cabin at the lake and having all of her family together. 

Sandra was a wonderful mother and grandmother, and she absolutely adored her grandbabies. She was a fighter and had a strong spirit, which helped her as she fought cancer for 12 years. Her unending love, presence and support will forever be missed.

Her memory will be cherished by her loving husband, Anthony Hardin; her children: Brandon Tackett (Marissa), Alexandra Koester (Kyle), Kyle Hardin (Crystal), Shanna McCoy (Jon), Ben Hardin (Shelby), Brittany Bialorucki (Ben); grandchildren: Layla Tackett, Jackson Hardin, Lillian Hardin, Amelia Hardin, Liam Hardin, Evelyn Hardin, Wrenley Koester, Stella Tackett, Trent Ball, and one future grandchild; her siblings: Sheryl McBride, Dale McBride, Debra Acton, Michelle Rene Bradley; her favorite and faithful companion, Lady Fish; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.

A Memorial Gathering will be held from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Friday, October 11, 2024 at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, in Dayton. A Celebration of Life will be held the Saturday, October 12th from 2:30pm to 5:00pm at C.I. Beaver Hall, 3696 Highmont Street, Beavercreek, OH 45432.
