Sandra Lee Nolen

Sandra L. Nolen, beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend passed peacefully from this life on February 14, 2025. Born August 12, 1943 in Dayton, Ohio, she lived a full life of love, happiness and compassion. 

Known by all as “Sandy”, she will be remembered for her sweet giving nature and wonderful sense of humor. She loved spending time with her family, organizing luncheons and bingo with friends and beautifully decorating her home for every season. Making memories with her family and beloved dog Sophie were her greatest joys in life. 

She was a graduate of Wilbur Wright High School and for more than 30 years she dedicated herself to a career at GE Capital in Dayton, Ohio. 

Sandy leaves behind her daughter, Stacy Laymon of Madison, AL; son, Justin Nolen and wife Kate of Loveland, OH; brother Jerry Emert and wife Rosa of Dayton, OH. Her legacy lives on through her grandchildren, Jacob Nolen and Elliott Laymon. Sandy was preceded in death by her father, Roy Emert, and her mother, Eleanor Emert. 

A memorial service for Sandy’s friends and family will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2025, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, located at 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd, Beavercreek, OH 45432.
