Sandra Jean Marcum

Sandra Jean Marcum, age 80 of Brookville, passed away suddenly on June 12, 2019. Her family has taken comfort in her reunion with her husband, Edward, who passed away in 2008. Sandra was born in Fairmont, WV to the late Harley and Gladys Cain. She was born on April 27, 1939. Sandra married her soulmate and love of her life, Edward on November 14, 1960. The two shared 49 years together.

Sandra retired from Wright Patterson Air Force Base after many years of loyal and dedicated service. She dedicated herself to her family and stayed home with her children until they went to school before returning to work. Sandra took great pride in her family and loved to spend time and take care of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed going out to dinner with her friends and family, Texas Roadhouse being one of her favorites.

Sandra touched the lives of everyone she met. She never knew a stranger and would always bring a smile to your face. She always put the needs of others above her own and never complained or said a discouraging word of others. She was a caring, loving, compassionate, and strong wife, mother, "gma", great-grandmother, and friend. She will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, Sandra was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Marcum.

Sandra is survived by all of her loving children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at Newcomer North Chapel from 5pm - 8pm. Funeral service will be held the next day, Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at 10:30am at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Royal Oak Memorial Gardens.
