Sandra E. Logsdon

Sandra E. “Sandy” Logsdon, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and aunt, passed away on September 22, 2026, at Hospice of Dayton. She was born on June 24, 1937, in Dayton, Ohio.

Sandy was a graduate of Patterson Co-Op High School, Class of 1955, and later graduated from Dayton Bible College, an accomplishment that reflected the importance of faith and learning in her life. She retired from Chrysler Air Temp in Dayton after years of dedicated work.

She will be remembered as a straight forward and sincere woman whose life was centered on faith, family, and service to others. Sandy enjoyed spending time with her family at gatherings, and those moments together were among the joys of her life. She loved going to church and once sang in the choir, sharing her voice as part of her worship. She also found meaning in ministering in nursing homes, offering care and encouragement to others.

Above all, Sandy cherished her family. She is survived by her husband, Ron, with whom she shared nearly 43 years of marriage. She is also survived by her sons, Jason Logsdon and his wife, Christy, and their family, and Matt Logsdon and his wife, Michele, and their family. Her memory will also be treasured by her grandchildren, Jared Logsdon and his wife, Taylor, and their family, along with Chloe Logsdon, Shelby Logsdon, and Shane Logsdon. She is also survived by her niece, Janelle Stamper. May her family find comfort in the love she gave so freely and in the many memories they shared with her.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Walter and Glenna Swihart, and by her sister, Lorraine Plogsted.

Sandra’s life was marked by devotion, honesty, and a sincere heart. She leaves behind a legacy of faith, family love, and service that will be remembered by all who knew her.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 29, 2026 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd. Service will begin at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Sandy will be laid to rest at Woodland Cemetery - Mausoleum, 118 Woodland Ave.
