Sandra Joanne Sexton, born on November 6, 1941, in Troy, Ohio, passed away peacefully on September 14, 2025, in Tipp City, Ohio. A dedicated professional, Sandra devoted more than 40 years of her life to the American Forestry Service and O.M. Logging, alongside her beloved husband, Ron Sexton, with whom she shared a joyful marriage of 50 years before his passing.
Sandra was a vibrant and loving individual, known for her bubbly, friendly, and outgoing personality. She had a remarkable ability to connect with people, never having met a stranger. Her devotion to her work was rivaled only by her love for her family, of which she was immensely proud. She cherished her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, celebrating their accomplishments and nurturing them with her unwavering support.
Outside of her career, Sandra enjoyed a variety of hobbies that brought her joy. She found pleasure in playing the lottery and, in her earlier years, had a passion for the outdoors—particularly hiking, fishing, and mushroom hunting with her husband.
Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family. Sandra is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, James A. and Nancy Macy of Casstown; her grandchildren, Guava Jo (Jesus) Macy, Michelle (Michael) Watkins, and Frank (Megan) Watkins; and her great-grandchildren, Mackenzie Faye Watkins, Ayden Roe, Nicholas Watkins, and Matilda Watkins. She is also remembered fondly by her brother-in-law, Tom (Shirley) Sexton; sister-in-law, Maxine Sexton; special friends, Philip (Lisa) Wells, Robert (Kim) Thimmes, Carson Taylor, and Noelle Wells; and several nieces and nephews.
Sandra now rejoins her beloved husband, Ron Sexton, as well as her parents, Elden and Dora Macy, and her brothers, Richard Macy and Ron Macy. She is reunited with brothers-in-law James W. Sexton, Earl Jones, Jim Dagg, and Roy (Daisy) Sexton, along with sisters-in-law Nina Dagg, Ina Sexton, and Jesse Jones.
