Samuel "Sam" Henderson Graham, born June 21, 1956, in Pennington Gap, Virginia, passed away peacefully and surrounded by love, on August 1, 2026, in Dayton, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elijah Samuel Graham and Anna Lee (Smith) Graham, as well as his brother, Thomas Patrick Graham, and his nephew, Thomas Patrick Graham Jr.
Sam leaves behind his loving wife, Tamela Graham; and daughters, Aimee (Chris) Boldman, Tara (Jay) Pandascia, Tiffany (Adam) Brun, Trisha (Robert Tracy) Marshall, and Cara (Andy, Ayden, Caryss) Brandell. His cherished grandchildren, Elijah, Avalynn, Charlie, Jackson, Hannah, Cecillia, and Elliot, also honor his memory. Sam is survived by his brothers, Bobby (Michelle) Graham, Tony (Ann) Carver, and Todd (Terri) Carver; his special nephews, Ben Graham, Bryan Graham, Tyler Carver, Lance Carver, Jeremy Carver, Jacob Graham; and his niece, Jennifer Graham; along with many other family member and close friends.
Sam grew up in Vandalia, Ohio, where he played football for both Vandalia High School and Ohio University. Sam lived a full and interesting life, embracing every opportunity to enjoy the things he loved most. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, enjoyed music and had a deep appreciation for life. Sam also had a special place in his heart for animals especially dogs, cats, and goats.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made to hospice of Dayton or any pet rescue organization of your choice.
