Sally Kay Houser, 68 years old, passed away at her residence in Fairborn, OH after battling Multiple Myeloma. She was a resident of Dayton, OH area all her life. Sally was a graduate of Clark State Community College, Class of 1972 for nursing. She worked as a nurse for over 50 years at both Grandview Hospital and United Healthcare.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Scott Winfield; father, Robert J. Smalley; mother, Shirley May Smalley and brother, Michael Smalley.
Sally is survived by her four children, who she considered her greatest treasures, Rebecca Marie, Katherine Elizabeth (Emily) Yantis-Houser, Matthew Winfield (Jessica) and Nicholas Robert (Christina); six grandchildren, Parker Mae Yantis-Houser, Zachery Robert, Zayne Curtis, Abigail Claire, Kye Winfield and Scott William; brother, Mark Smalley (Norma) of Springfield, MO and their children, Madison and Jacob (Myia) and their sons, Joe and Beau; Andrew (Tiffany) and their daughter, Mya; brother-in-law, Rollin G. Houser.
Sally loved being an aunt and great aunt to all her nieces, nephews and their children. Sally didn't know a stranger and was a second mom to many of her four kids' friends, taking them on family vacations and outings. She will be missed by her whole community.
A memorial open house will be held in Sally's honor at Nicholas' house, 1366 Redbud Dr., Fairborn, OH 45324 on Saturday, February 17, 2018 from 1-5 PM.
