Rutha Bell Level (Holmes), 97. Born May 9, 1923 in Bolton, MS.
Rutha Bell fell asleep in death on 08/21/2020 as a dedicated servant of JEHOVAH GOD. She was baptized at the age of 85 and attended both the Vicksburg congregation in MS and the Central Congregation in Dayton Ohio.
Rutha was preceded in death by her husband Earl G Level, daughters Willie Ruth Tillman (Willie-also deceased), Bobbie Jean Lyons (Robert), grandson Gregory Tillman, parents Walter and Geneva Holmes, sister Bessie Holmes, brother James Holmes and brother-like cousin Jay Wilkins.
Rutha is survived by her son Cedric Level and son-in-law Robert Lyons of Dayton OH, grandson William Tillman (CJ) of Cheyenne WY, granddaughters LaWanda Lyons-Williams (Sidney), Line' Elder-Moore (Steven) and grandson Robert L. Lyons (Karen) all of Dayton Ohio. Rutha is also survived by several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Rutha worked most of her life as a silk processor and beautician. Her hobbies included fishing and EATING. She was known for her ability to make the most delicious cakes and specialties like greens, beans and hot water cornbread. Beautiful hats were her passion and she enjoyed wearing her collection while attending the meetings at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.
Rutha will be sorely missed for the short while until we see her again at the resurrection.
Acts 24:15-And I have hope toward God, which hope these men also look forward to, that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.
Memorial service will be held Saturday September 12th, 2020 @ 1:00pm via Zoom.
