Ruth Viola Rose, age 82 of Dayton, passed away February 18, 2016. She was born July 29, 1933 in Dayton to the late Heinrich and Emma Becker.
In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Ulrich W.G. Rose, Sr.; and sister, Elfriede Menke.
Ruth is survived by her sons: Erich (Gail) Rose, Ulrich (Cindy) Rose, Chris (Edlyn) Rose and Greg (Cindy) Rose; grandchildren: Arron, Emelia and Charlotte; and nieces: Virginia O'Neill and Gretchen Menke.
Visitation will be held from 12:30-1:30 pm on Friday, February 26, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, where the funeral service will begin at 1:30 pm. Burial to follow at Willow View Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Ruth's memory to either the American Lung Association or to the Humane Society of Dayton.
