Ruth "Carolyn" Mescher, age 71, of Kettering, passed away on Saturday, April 16, 2016.
Carolyn was born on November 6, 1944 in Blount County, TN to the late Clarence G. & Ruth G. Gibbs.
She retired from Hewitt Soap Company after 34 years of service.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her son, Gregory Eric Mescher; sister, Martha Faye Philips and brothers, Charles, Monroe, Bruce, Ray and Kay Gibbs.
She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, George E. Mescher Sr.; son, George E. Mescher Jr.; sister, Ann Moeller; brothers, Lynn and Noah Gibbs; and numerous nephews; nieces and cousins.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 21, 2016 from 10-11am at Newcomer Funeral Home South Chapel (3940 Kettering Blvd, Kettering, OH 45439). The service will follow at 11am. Burial will take place at Miami Valley Memory Gardens.
