Ruth Ann Alig
May 11, 1939 — March 21, 2020
Ruth Ann Alig, age 80 of Dayton, passed away Saturday, March 21, 2020 at Hospice of Dayton. She was born May 11, 1939 in Dayton, Ohio, the daughter of the late Merrill and Carrie Wright.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Joseph Wright.
Ruth is survived by her husband of nearly 59 years, Jack; children, John (Kris) Alig, Dan (Robin) Alig, Sherry (Chuck) Compton; grandchildren, Katelyn Roock, Travis Roock, Ryan Alig, Kassie Alig; brothers, James (Beth) Wright, David (Alva) Wright; sister-in-law, Martha Wright; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Ruth was an LPN at Grandview Hospital and later was employed with Vandalia Butler Schools. She and Jack enjoyed square dancing in their younger years, and she also loved crocheting.
Due to the current pandemic with coronavirus, private family services are being held. Thank you for your understanding during this challenging time.
