Rusty C. Courter, age 41, of Dayton, Ohio passed away December 8, 2020. He was born November 22, 1979 in Dayton, Ohio son of Ronald "Ron" and Barbara "Barb" Courter.
Rusty was a devoted husband, loving father, son, brother, uncle, and friend. Rusty fought for the last 14 months of his life battling gallbladder cancer. He was strong and courageous for his family. Before his diagnoses Rusty worked on a Pod Cast with Michael. He loved going to the beach, listening to music, and spending time with his family and fur children, Ludo, Fezzik Mau Mau, and Blossom. Rusty will be missed by all who knew him.
Rusty was preceded in death by his father, Ronald "Ron" Courter; paternal grandparents, Paul and Kate Courter; and maternal grandparents, Clayton and Merle Wright.
Rusty is survived by his wife of 11 years, Victoria Courter; Arielle and Sya Courter; mother, Barbara "Barb" Courter; sister Bridget (Terry) Bartlett; brother-in-laws, Jonathan Matthews and Bryan Matthews; nieces, Kierra Bartlett, Elizabeth Matthews; nephews, Jace Bartlett, Isaac Matthews; mother -in-law, Lena Matthews; father-in-law, Art Matthews; best friend, Michael Cordell; aunts, Cathy and Marsha Courter; uncles, Mike, Bob, and Jim Courter; cousins, Laura(Dave) Crouse, Scott (Lisa) Courter, and Amy (Tom) Underwood; cousins, Molly Jones, and Rhyan Courter; as well as numerous other family members and friends.
Family will receive family and friends on Sunday, December 13, 2020 from 2:00-4:00pm at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton-Xenia Road, Beavercreek, Ohio 45432).
Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, December 14, 2020 at 11:00am at St. Helens Parish (5100 Burkhardt Road, Dayton, Ohio 45431).
Burial to follow at St. Brigid Cemetery in Xenia, Ohio.
The State of Ohio is under a mandatory mask order and has required that face masks will be worn in all public places.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made towards Rusty's funeral expenses.
