Russell Edward Gibson

Russell Edward Gibson, age 68, of Dayton, Ohio, passed away on February 10, 2024. He was born in Dayton, Ohio, on March 4, 1955 to the late Raymond and Myrtle Gibson.

Russell is survived by his wife of 50 years Linda Gibson; eight children, Junieta (Jeremy) Edgington, Melissa (Jerry) Knight, Roxanna (Jimmy) Gibson, Jamie Gibson, Russell Edward (Brittany) Gibson II, Michael Gibson, Christopher (Rachel) Gibson, Kaitlin (Brandon) Gibson; bonus daughter Bobbie Jo and bonus son Fat Mikey; twenty grandchildren, Tyler, Erin, Shelby, Jacob, Tori, Stevie, Mason, Josiah, Aliyah, Gavin, Dezmond, Arianna, Kaison, Ricky, Russell Edward Gibson III, Adrina, Colton, Jasmine, Luna, and Brandon; ten great grandchildren, Tayliah, Trevyn, Trais, Remy, Stephen, Aubriella, Riley, Lila, Delta, and Mazie; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.

Russell was the kindest person you'd ever meet. He never knew a stranger and loved telling jokes. Russell loved working on cars, and cussing at cars, especially his 67 'Cuda. He loved his family with his whole heart, especially his wife, who was always his number one girl. Russell was never one to sit still; he loved to fish with his sons and friends, taking long walks and even longer bike rides with anyone willing to go with him. Russell was loved so much by his family and anybody that knew him.

Funeral service will be held at 1 PM on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at Newcomer Funeral Home in Kettering. Visitation will begin one hour prior to service.
